Because Bara-ka is designed especially for you, we want to share this space of inspiration with you.
#Morethanvintage
Bara-ka has always been more than just a vintage furniture shop. It’s a story of passion, of second chances and of embracing a more responsible way of living. I have always had this ecological awareness in my daily life and even more in my professional experience. For years, I worked as an interior designer in London, designing spaces with carefully selected materials and pieces. But overtime, I started questioning the way I worked knowing the environmental impact of mass production.
When I moved to Spain, I found out that there was a need for a place where people could easily find well-preserved and character-filled vintage furniture and decoration. So, I envisioned a space where each piece was carefully selected and available in a trustworthy way. That’s when Bara-ka was born.
Now, you must be wondering: Why “Bara-ka”?
The name Bara-ka carries different meanings. In Arabic, “baraka” means “blessing” or “luck” — a perfect reflection of our mission: to give furniture a second chance and to bring warmth and unique design elements into your home.
A New Website for a New Experience!
After two years of hard work building Bara-ka, we knew it was time to take a big step forward. Today, we are thrilled to introduce our brand-new website, designed to make your shopping experience easier, more inspiring, and more enjoyable.
This transformation wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication of an incredible team. A talented group of professionals worked together to bring this vision to life. They focused on refining brand identity, enhancing the user experience, and ensuring that Bara-ka reaches more vintage lovers around Spain.
Why This Matter To Me?
I truly believe that decorating your home shouldn’t just be about filling a space, it should be about telling a story, about surrounding yourself with pieces that hold character and meaning. Vintage furniture isn’t just an aesthetic choice; it’s also a conscious decision to reduce waste, to prioritize craftsmanship, and to embrace uniqueness.
At Bara-ka, I select each piece with care, ensuring that every item carries its own charm and authenticity. This new website is designed to reflect our values: design, sustainability and vintage authenticity carefully curated.
Enjoy this new experience with Bara-ka!

Natural fibers and vintage style come together in perfect harmony, creating interiors that exude timeless elegance. Let’s explore how you can achieve this seamless blend.
Natural fibers are incredibly versatile, adding warmth, durability, and sophistication to furniture pieces. Wicker, for example, is an excellent choice for chairs, tables, and sofas due to its lightweight yet sturdy nature. It is particularly well-suited for outdoor furniture, as it withstands the elements while bringing a cozy, rustic charm. Similarly, rattan offers remarkable flexibility and durability, making it ideal for everything from lounge chairs to bed headboards, infusing any space with a natural and refined aesthetic.
Vintage furniture often features intricate craftsmanship and graceful lines, but reupholstering with natural fibers can breathe new life into these timeless pieces. Refreshing a classic armchair with rich wool or linen fabric enhances its vintage charm while giving it a fresh, updated appeal.
Natural fiber curtains, such as cotton, bring an airy and delicate touch to vintage interiors. Opt for lace-trimmed curtains to evoke nostalgia and filter soft light into the space. These fabrics complement vintage aesthetics with their enduring beauty. Consider smart curtains made from natural fibers, which not only enhance ambiance but also regulate light and heat, improving energy efficiency.
In vintage interior design, incorporating natural fibers into vases adds a touch of timeless charm. Picture ceramic vases adorned with rattan or seagrass details, reminiscent of a bygone era of artisanal craftsmanship. These textures bring warmth and highlight the beauty of sustainable materials.
Weaving natural fibers into decorative accents can tie an entire room together. Woven baskets and macramé wall hangings introduce a bohemian flair to vintage interiors. These handcrafted elements add authenticity and depth, infusing the space with character and personality.
Bringing natural fibers into vintage interiors is a wonderful way to merge old-world charm with modern sensibilities. These materials not only enhance texture and sustainability but also elevate the beauty of vintage pieces while adding a contemporary touch.
This summer, turn your patio into a charming vintage-inspired retreat that evokes the warmth and nostalgia of days gone by. With just a few thoughtful touches, you can create an inviting outdoor space full of character and timeless appeal.
To achieve a vintage summer patio, furniture plays a key role. Opt for wrought iron pieces with intricate designs that add both elegance and durability to your space. Wicker or rattan furniture is another great choice, offering a laid-back and cozy atmosphere while being resistant to outdoor conditions. Aged wood tables and chairs can bring a rustic charm, their natural cracks and grain patterns enhancing their unique character. These options not only elevate the aesthetic of your patio but also ensure comfort and functionality, making it the perfect place to enjoy warm summer days and breezy evenings.
Textiles and patterns are essential for completing the vintage summer look. Add cushions, tablecloths, and curtains with floral prints or retro motifs to enhance the nostalgic ambiance of the space. Soft, earth-toned cushions in plush fabrics will further elevate the cozy feel. Choosing delicate designs and muted colors can transform your patio into a charming and character-filled retreat, perfect for unwinding in style.
The magic lies in the details. Incorporate authentic decorative elements such as wrought iron lanterns that cast a soft, romantic glow on summer nights. Traditional ceramic vases add a handcrafted, nostalgic touch—whether used as plant pots or standalone decorative pieces. Strategically placed antique mirrors can visually expand the space and reflect natural light, while wooden crates can double as decorative storage or rustic side tables. Complete the look with candelabras or lanterns for a warm, inviting ambiance.
By carefully blending these elements, you can design a vintage-style summer patio that feels both elegant and welcoming—an ideal spot to relax and make the most of the season.

Feng Shui is an ancient Chinese art that seeks to harmonize the energies in our surroundings to enhance our overall well-being. Its core principle is simple yet powerful: the way we arrange elements in our home directly influences our health, relationships, and personal success.
This practice is rooted in the concept of balance and harmony. "Feng" means wind, and "Shui" means water, both of which symbolize the flow of life. At its foundation, Feng Shui revolves around Chi (Qi)—the vital energy that must circulate freely for prosperity and well-being. By applying its principles, we can ensure a smooth and positive flow of energy within our spaces.
Feng Shui incorporates five key elements—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—each representing different qualities and influencing various aspects of life. The careful placement and balance of these elements in a space help to create harmony and strengthen positive energy.
Alongside Maddie from Natura Feng Shui (@naturafengshui.maddieb), here are four essential tips to help you integrate this ancient practice into your home:
Our home nourishes us, protects us, helps us recharge, and provides the energy we need for personal growth and balance. Feng Shui is more than just a design technique—it’s a philosophy that fosters a deep connection between humans and their surroundings. By embracing its principles, we can improve not just the aesthetics of a space but also promote harmony and well-being in our daily lives.
Whether you’re redecorating your home or reorganizing your workspace, exploring the world of Feng Shui might just be the key to a more balanced and fulfilling life.
